Most self-custody wallets have a primary environment. Usually it is mobile. Everything else — a desktop app, a browser extension, a web interface — is either a secondary product built later to capture a different user segment, or a stripped-down version of the mobile experience with some features missing and a slightly different interface that does not quite match. The phrase works across all of them in theory. In practice, the experience of using the wallet shifts depending on where you are, which features are available in which version, and whether the thing you needed to do is something that particular platform decided to support.

This is not a trivial complaint. The environment a user happens to be in when they need their wallet is not always the environment that wallet was designed for. Someone managing LITHO ecosystem assets from a desktop workstation during the week may need browser extension access for a quick transaction during the day and mobile access on the weekend. If the wallet treats each of those as a different product with a different feature set, the user is effectively managing multiple versions of the same tool — and hoping that the version they need at any given moment is the one that has whatever they are trying to do.

Thanos Wallet is built for web, desktop, iOS, Android, and browser extension from the same underlying design rather than as a primary platform with secondary ports. The 12-word recovery phrase that governs access to LITHO, wLITHO, FGPT, Bitcoin, Ethereum, and EVM-based assets works the same way across all of them. The security model — AES-encrypted local storage, password-gated access, optional biometric unlock, on-device mnemonic — applies across all of them. The assets accessible through the wallet do not change based on which platform you are on.

The browser extension matters more than it might initially seem. A significant portion of DeFi and Web3 activity happens through browser-connected interfaces, where a wallet extension is the standard access mechanism. A wallet that is strong on mobile but limited in its browser extension puts users in the position of maintaining two separate tools — the mobile wallet for their primary holdings and the extension for on-chain interactions that require browser connectivity. Thanos Wallet’s extension support means users are not forced into that split.

Web access adds a different kind of flexibility. It removes the prerequisite of a specific app installation for a user who needs to access their wallet from a new or shared device. The mnemonic stays on the user’s machine, the security model stays intact, and the wallet remains accessible without requiring a download and setup process before anything can happen.

The practical argument for multi-platform wallet design is simple: people do not use crypto from a single device in a single context, and a wallet that treats that assumption as default creates friction every time reality does not match it. Thanos Wallet is built on the assumption that users will move between environments, and that the wallet should move with them — rather than being something they have to adapt their behavior around.
